Kryptronic Software Wiki Editor Info

This page is for Kryptronic Software Wiki Editors. The purpose of this page is to outline instructions for editors for posting new articles to this wiki. Only editors are permitted to post new articles to this wiki. For illustration purposes, these instructions reference an article with a wiki name of 'EditorTestPage' with a title of 'Editor Test Page'. Below are instructions on adding, removing and editing articles:

Adding a New Article

Step 1: Determine which topic you would like to write an article on. Articles should be related to topics which provide instruction or how-to information for Kryptronic Software. Articles should be instructional in nature and provide a detailed explanation of all aspects of the topic being covered. Once you have determined your topic, select a wiki name for your article. A wiki name should be three to four words long, can not contain spaces or characters other than A-Z, a-z and 0-9, and should have each first word capitalized. In the example above (an article for editors to test) uses the wiki name 'EditorTestPage'.

Step 2: Once you have determined your wiki name, access the URL for your new wiki article with your web browser. Access a URL like:

You will be presented with a link to create that article if it doesn't already exist. If the wiki name you selected already exists, choose a different wiki name.

Step 3: When you create your new article, include a block at the top of your artible with a meaningful title in it. This page title is used in menus to define and access the page. The title is inserted at the top of your article using the following format:

Step 4: Add the body of your article under the title tag you created. You can use the formatting options located here: Wiki Formatting Guide.

Step 5: Add a reference to the Pending Inclusion wiki at the bottom of your article. This is done in the following manner (do not include spaces in the category name):

All editor contributed pages are to be added to the Pending Inclusion category. After new articles are reviewed by Kryptronic, they will be edited for content, categorized, and placed in the appropriate place on the Wiki. Editors shall only add articles to the Pending Inclusion category.

Editing an Article

Editors should only edit articles which are not part of the Pending Inclusion category for errors. To edit an article, double click on the text of that article. Articles within the Pending Inclusion category can be edited at any time.

Removing an Article

Editors should only remove their own articles, and only if the article is in the Pending Inclusion category. To remove an article from the wiki, access a URL like:

Who Can Add/Modify/Remove Articles and Add Comments?

Only registered users whose accounts are designated by Kryptronic as editor accounts can add, modify and remove articles. Editors as well as all other other registered users can add comments to existing articles. Users who are not logged in or do not have an account are not permitted to comment on articles.
