Throughout the Wiki you will see references to {private}, {public} and {app}. The meanings of these references is provided below to eliminate confusion.
It is important to note that changes to core files of any kind are subject to being reversed with updates.
It is imperative that you keep detailed notes of what you change and where so you are able to restore any modifications should files be replaced during an update.

Reference Conventions Used In The Wiki
Throughout the Wiki you will see references to {private}, {public} and {app}. The meanings of these references is provided below to eliminate confusion.
- {private} - when you see this used it is referring to the private directory that is specified during installation. It is recommended that this directory be outside of the web server directory for security reasons.
- {public} - when you see this used it is referring to the public directory that is specified during installation. This will usually be either the root directory of your web site or a directory below the web server root.
- {app} - when you see this used it is referring to the application name which will ecom for the commerce portion of CCP, cms for the content management portion of CCP or core for the system component of CCP.
